LC State’s RN to BSN online nursing program ranked best in Idaho

LEWISTON, Idaho – The Lewis-Clark State College nursing program earned accolades from RNtoMSN.org, an online resource that provides comprehensive information to registered nurses interested in bachelor’s and master’s degree nursing programs.

RNtoMSN.org found that LC State’s registered nurse (RN) to a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing (BSN) online program ranked No. 1 in Idaho for the best overall program, the fastest program for earning a BSN, and the most affordable program. LC State has the only nursing program in the state ranked in all three categories.

In its overall rankings for the best program, RNtoMSN.org spoke highly of LC State. “We particularly like the fact that the [Nursing & Health Sciences Division] receives superb independent reviews from former students. BSN alumni loved the low student-to-teacher ratio, the helpful and friendly faculty, and the challenging and up-to-date coursework.”

The review also complimented LC State for coming up “with a convenient program that includes real-world coursework, population health and leadership practicums,” as well as for its new master’s degree certificate in Nursing Management & Leadership.

The rankings are based on what researchers and writers found after compiling data on program options, costs, length of time to complete the degree and other factors. The rankings also use information from accreditation groups such as the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education and the Accreditation Commission of Education in Nursing.
