ISBDC sets four web-related workshops

LEWISTON, Idaho – The Region II Idaho Small Business Development Center at Lewis-Clark State College is offering four workshops during the month of April, including three in Orofino.

“Selling on Amazon” will be offered on April 4 at 5:30-8:30 p.m. for free at the Asotin County Library, located at 417 Sycamore St., in Clarkston. The workshop, which will be taught by Aziz Makhani, will discuss posting, marketing, and managing inventory. Pre-registration is required. To pre-register, email ISBDC@lcsc.edu or call 208-792-2465.

The three workshops in Orofino will be on consecutive Friday mornings in Suite 1 at the LCSC Outreach Center, located at 416 Johnson Ave. The first workshop is “Website Basics and Content” and will look at the fundamentals of website language, construction, content, the purpose of your website, titles, messages, and tips. The second workshop is “Google Optimization” on April 14. This workshop will show how to help customers find your business website and communicate with you. It will review search engine optimization and show how to get your business on the Google map for free. Participants should know their gmail address and password. Computers will be provided or participants can bring their laptops.

The final workshop at Orofino will be on April 21 and is on “Website Construction.” Participants are encouraged to bring content as this is a hands-on workshop and participants will build a website through WIX. Computers will be provided or participants can bring their laptops. Participants are encouraged to take the April 7 workshop on “Website Basics and Content” as a prerequisite.

The enrollment fee for the Orofino workshops is $25 apiece and all three will be taught by Barbara Leachman.
