Election integrity is the focus for 5th annual Moore Lecture Series

LEWISTON, Idaho – A discussion on “Election Integrity: how elections are run at the local level” will be the focus of the 5th annual Moore Lecture Series on Oct. 18 at noon on the Lewis-Clark State College campus.

Darla McKay, the auditor in Washington’s Asotin County, and Patty Weeks, the auditor in Idaho’s Nez Perce County, will jointly give the presentation, which will be both in person and on Zoom.

The event is free and open to the public. The audience can attend in person in Room 115 of Sacajawea Hall on the LC State campus, and the college’s COVID-19 protocols will be followed. Face coverings are required indoors. This and other protocols may be found on the college’s Coronavirus web page

The event will also be live on Zoom using the Zoom ID 812 3104 5938 and password 379284. Viewers will be on mute throughout the presentation but can submit questions by typing them in the comments section.

The Moore Honorary Lecture honors former LC State political science professor Richard Moore and his contributions to the college. Moore worked at LC State for 27 years, 1978-2005, when he retired. He mentored several students and chaired the Faculty Senate and Faculty Association twice, the Social Sciences Division for eight years, and was interim chair for the Nursing & Health Sciences Division. He also served as acting dean of the School of Arts and Sciences.
